Whites Tavern

Belfast City Centre
Completed 2020

THIS HISTORIC 17TH-CENTURY TAVERN IS IN WINECELLAR ENTRY, AN OLD TRADING ALLEY WHERE MERCURY NEWSPAPER WAS FOUNDED IN THE 1850S. WHITE’S TAVERN PROUDLY LAYS CLAIM TO BEING THE OLDEST TAVERN IN BELFAST, ESTABLISHED IN 1630

Refurbished in 2019, Whites and The Oyster Rooms is located in the much revived 'entries' in Belfasts historic cathedral quarter. Being a building of such historical significance a sympathetic restoration was required to bring the Oyster rooms and Whites itself up to modern standards of hospitality while not loosing the character and history that makes it so unique.

The Conlon Construction team delivered the project for the Clover group to a great reaction from the public.
